What Defines a LWC Hit?

What does a “successful” LWC hit look like?
(What is the minimum time the laser must be detected, and what is the minimum spacing between consecutive shots?)

I sincerely apologize for the delayed response, this post slipped through the cracks.

First - if you haven’t already, be sure to check out the “DIY Laser Target” instructions that have been posted in this thread. This will be a good functional representation of the laser target.

On the official field, a reading is taken by the target’s sensor roughly every 24ms. When a successful “hit” is registered, an LED ring around the target will blink briefly to note that the shot has been recorded.

Regarding timing between shots, rule 8.2.5 was added in the September 29th Game Manual update to note that the timing options found in the default AVR code MUST be used on the competition drone.
