We are experiencing issues after auto tuning our drone. We used the autotune feature in the PID tuning in Q ground control as we changed the weight balance of our drone. Once we disabled and re enabled, the motors started to make a grinding noise. We immediately landed and found that the motors had become very hot. There was also a smell of burning motors. Through further testing, we found that the motor test feature in Q seemed to work fine. We believe that the problem is from all the motors. I also believe the issue is coming from a faulty Y tune. Is there any way to restore a previous tune, or restore a default tune.

We resolved our own issue by setting the default PID tune for the 500 mm Quad. We also set the preferences noted in the build documentation. From this, we were able to tune the drone.
