Pi Camera not visible Dexi Dashboard

I am not seeing Pi Camera on my Dexi Dashboard. What can I do to get it on the dashboard?

You are likely on an older version of DEXI-OS where we have a direct link from the dashboard to the stream viewer. A quick work around is to connect to access it via:

http://192.168.4.1:8080/

Note that this is the same url as the dashboard, but just a different port.

I tried opening the dashboard with 192.168.4.1:8080 and this is what I see:

When click it, nothing comes up.

Very strange. Assuming you have everything connected properly we would expect to see an image stream. Can you do the following please so we can help troubleshoot? SSH into your DEXI and run the following:

sudo dmseg | grep imx

and share a screenshot

after that please run the following and send a screenshot:

sudo systemctl status dexi

When that shows up please make sure to scroll to the bottom of the window as there is normally more output on the screen and it gets clipped.

Thanks.

Found the problem. We were checking the ribbon cable that connects to the Arc board and the ribbon cable connector broke off. Can we use the other camera port?

Thanks

We had another team that broke their connector and we created a custom image that uses the cam1 port. Please be careful when you place the cable in the connector as they are fairly fragile. You can download the image here:

and if you (or anyone on your team) want to jump into the Discord to see that thread you can do so here:

Thank you Dennis. We will definitely be careful.

We have the same problem stated above and we ran the code above.

Can you

Hi @kendrakay2000 you have a typo in your command… it’s dmesg and not dmseg so it would look like this:

sudo dmesg | grep imx

In case you’re interested this is a native linux command to detect hardware errors:
