We have assembled our Dexi and are trying to connect it to QGroundControl, but the WiFI network is not showing up. Does anyone have any solutions?
Can you please try to update your DEXI-OS per the following video and let us know if that addresses the issue?
Thanks.
I updated the Dexi OS and the Wi-Fi still is not showing up. We have given it about 10 minutes to get set up, and still can’t find anything.
Hmmm okay. A couple of questions:
- I want to make sure you’re flashing the Pi SD and not the FC (flight controller) SD
- Is your external antenna connected?
Let me know and we can likely take the next step of scheduling a video chat to see if we can assist.
I believe we are flashing the Pi SD card. I double checked both cards, and saw that one SD card had files to log flights, while the other did not. I flashed the one that did not have log files.
Yes, the external antenna is connected.
I tried to upload a video but I couldn’t. Hopefully this screenshot helps. When you boot look at the activity LED at the top left of my image. The one above the blinking blue. You should see a bunch of activity when you power up your board. Then when linux has booted it should turn completely off and only blink from time to time (not entirely sure of this).
Also, if you have a micro HDMI cable you could connect it to a monitor and see if the boot sequence is okay. Here is a (bad) photo of mine plugged in with output on the monitor. Note that it displays the hostname of dexicfee, which gets set as an SSID of dexi_cfee. While you’re at it, please make sure your CM4 is seated properly.
When I plugged it in (while the drone was powered on), nothing showed up on the monitor. The LEDs on the board look correct. They flash wildly for a couple seconds after boot, then the top left one only flashes every few seconds.
Let’s get a video chat setup for next week. Send an email to support@droneblocks.io and we’ll coordinate.
In the meantime… can you let me know what version of DEXI-OS you flashed? Also, if you would be willing to flash again and boot while having the monitor connected perhaps you can see any output that would lead us to better understand the problem. Maybe it’s a CM4 issue…that’s my best guess right now
I flashed Version 0.05, then tried flashing again, still no luck. Hopefully we can figure it out on the video chat!
