Can you drop the smokejumper with a handheld remote, or must you have it directly connected to the Tello's brain?

My team was wondering if you would get auton points with the tello by using a remote, as we are unable to connect anything directly to the tello drone itself. If we are able to connect anything to the tello and code it in conjunction to it, how would one do that?

If there is any manual piloting of Tello then you would not qualify for autonomous points. You able to attach 3D printed parts as well as other modules, but I call out some challenges in this thread:

Use a teladrone talet or use the teladrone roadmaster expansion kit modules as the teladrone talet?

The expansion kit will be used to control (using the GPIO) the releasing of the paratrooper and the addition of any sensor which we may find helpful for auto navigation. Can the Tello Talent be used? It appears the same as the Tello EDU but has the expansion module?
