Hi, we put the new dexi os on our dexi, we were wondering how long it should take to boot up because ours has been plugged in for 10 plus minutes and it still hasn’t done the rest of the boot up beeps and their is a little LED on the dexi blinking so we know it is getting power
What version of DEXI-OS did you flash? It sounds like maybe there was a bad flash or perhaps something failed on initial boot. What you can do is flash again and hook up a micro HDMI cable to the ARK board during boot. This is what I normally do when I don’t see things working as expected. To answer your question I would say on average a fresh image takes about 5 minutes for everything to be setup for the first time.
We flashed the version with the gpio pins, for the micro HDMI do we plug it into a monitor or do we hook it up to the computer and use a software?
We tried reflashing multiple times and after 30 minutes the dexi still had yet to boot up, the drone was still powered and a green light flashed on occasion on the main board, are there any other things we could try?
Is there an alternate version of the dexi os we could use for the competition?, we still have not gotten our dexi to boot at all
You may have a corrupt download. I would recommend downloading DEXI-OS v0.05 with GPIO and April Tag Nodes Enabled for AVR Drone Competition, linked here.
Can you also confirm how you are flashing the SD card? If you are using pi imager, just be sure to select “No” when asked about applying any customizations.
If you are still experiencing issues after reflashing. Please reach out to support@droneblocks.io. I would be happy to schedule a call to troubleshoot further.
Thanks,
Ryan
We found the problem our led strip was shorting out our board, we are trying to order a new led strip. Thank you for the help
